Landscape Design.
The landscape masterplan was developed to establish a seamless connection between the surrounding urban environment and the residential community. A hierarchy of outdoor spaces creates a balance between active social areas and quieter private gardens, allowing residents to enjoy a variety of recreational and relaxation experiences throughout the development.
High-quality hardscape materials, feature paving, integrated seating, architectural lighting and diverse planting palettes contribute to an attractive public realm while enhancing the overall character of the neighbourhood.
Heritage &
Place making.
The design acknowledges the site’s industrial heritage through carefully integrated landscape features inspired by the former Shudehill Mill. Heritage inspired paving, interpretive elements, and public art celebrate Manchester’s rich history while creating a unique sense of place and identity for the development.
Sustainability.
Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the landscape design. The project incorporates biodiverse planting, roof gardens, native tree species, sustainable drainage principles and climate-responsive landscape solutions to create comfortable and
resilient outdoor spaces.
